advertising services, which together aim to organize and monetize the
world’s information. In addition to its dominant search engine, it
offers many tools and platforms including its more popular products.
There are more than a hundred Google
services & products and some useful ones are little-known. We
prepared a guide for Google’s services and products to show you how big giant Google is. If you want to add a Google

is one of the World’s largest mobile advertising platforms and claims

was acquired by Google for $750 million.
- Adscape Media:Adscape
is a San Francisco in-game advertising company that was acquired by
Google in February 2007. The company has services that include
delivering dynamic advertisements to video games. Adscape is one of the
least known properties of Google.

- Google Maps:Find
local businesses, view maps and get driving directions.
- Google Earth:Lets
you fly anywhere on Earth to view satellite imagery, maps, terrain, 3D
buildings, from galaxies in outer space to the canyons of the ocean. You
can use it as a browser plug-in or a standalone desktop application.
- Google Building Maker:Google
Building Maker is a web application that allows users to build
three-dimensional buildings for inclusion in Google Earth.
- Google Street View:A
feature of Google Maps and Google Earth that provides 360° horizontal
and 290° vertical panoramic views from a row of positions along the
street (one every approximately 10 or 20 meters) for many streets in the
world, from a height of about 2.5 metres.

Transit:Calculates route, transit time and cost, and can compare the trip to one using a car; integrated into Google Maps.
- Google Sky:A
feature for Google Earth and an online sky/outer space viewer.
- Panoramio:
Panoramio is a geolocation-oriented photo (photos of the world) sharing website.
- Google
Latitude:Share your location, see your friends’ locations on a map or in a list by using your mobile phone or your computer.
- Google Local Business Center:Create
a business listing with your address(also your location on Google
Maps), phone, hours of operation and more to be sure customers find you.

Moon:A photographic map of the equatorial region with pan and zoom capability, showing locations of the Apollo landings on the moon.
- Google Mars:Google
Mars provides a visible imagery view, like Google Moon, as well as

is the most popular video sharing website on which users can upload and
share videos. In November 2006, YouTube was acquired by Google for
$1.65 billion.
- Google Voice:The
service provides a U.S. phone number, chosen by the user from available
numbers in selected area codes, free of charge. Inbound calls to this
number are forwarded to other phone numbers of the subscriber. Outbound
calls may be placed to domestic and international destinations by
dialing the Google Voice number or from a web-based application. It also
supports voicemail and sms forwarding. Google Voice is only available
for users in the United States.

Albums:Fast and easy photo sharing from Google. Share with friends and family, or explore public photos.
- Knol:Knol
is a Google project that aims to include user-written articles on a range of topics.
- Google
Wave:A
web-based service, computing platform, and communications protocol
designed to merge e-mail, instant messaging, wikis, and social
networking. Google Wave is currently in a limited preview.
- Google
Buzz:Google
Buzz is a social integration tool by Google, designed to integrate into
the company’s web-based email program, Gmail. Buzz allows users to
choose to share publicly with the world or privately to a small group of
friends each time they post.[4] Picasa, Flickr, Google Reader, and
Twitter are currently integrated.
- Google
Groups:A
service from Google that supports discussion groups, including many
Usenet newsgroups, based on common interests. Membership in Google
Groups is free of charge and many groups are anonymous.
- Aardvark:Aardvark
analyzes questions to determine what they’re about and then matches
each question to people with relevant knowledge and interests to give
you an answer quickly. Google acquired Aardvark in February,2010.
- Textcube:Google has acquired Korean blogging platform Textcube owned by TNC in September, 2008.
- Google Questions and Answers:A
free knowledge market offered by Google that allows users to
collaboratively find answers to their questions. It was launched in June
28, 2007 and replaces the discontinued fee-based Google Answers
service. Google had chosen Russia as the first country to launch this
new service.
- Google Fiber for Communities:Google
is planning to build, and test ultra-high speed broadband networks in a
small number of trial locations across the country. We’ll deliver
Internet speeds more than 100 times faster than what most Americans have
access to today with 1 gigabit per second, fiber-to-the-home
connections.
- Google Public DNS:Google
Public DNS is a free, global Domain Name System (DNS) resolution
service, that you can use as an alternative to your current DNS
provider. Google Public DNS has made many improvements in the areas of
speed, security, and validity of results.

Google Store. The only place to to buy original Google and YouTube
branded stuff like wearables, accessories,office equipments… Very
interesting and unknown Google service.

online payment processing service provided by Google aimed at

their credit or debit card and shipping information in their Google
Account, so that they can purchase at participating stores at the click
of a button.

Flip:a
web application that lets users discover and share news articles. It
combines qualities of print and the Web, with the ability to “flip”
through pages online as quickly as flipping through a magazine.
- Google Accounts:A
Google Account is a user account which provides access to Google-owned
services. After a Google Account is created, users can add other Google
applications. Account settings are stored in one place, but each
application has its own settings.
- Google Dashboard:Allows a person with a Google Account to compile all the personal information associated with their account.
- Google Translate:Google’s
free online language translation service instantly translates text and
web pages. It translates form/into more than 50 languages.
- Google Transliteration:Google
Transliteration allows you to type phonetically using roman characters.
Simply type a word the way it sounds in English and Google
Transliteration will convert it to its local script. It currently
supports 17 languages: Arabic, Bengali, Greek, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada,
Malayalam, Marathi, Nepali, Persian, Russian, Sanskrit, Serbian,
Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.
- Google Dictionary:Google’s free online dictionary service.
- Google Pinyin: Google Pinyin IME (谷歌拼音输入法) is an input method for Chinese-language, developed by Google China Labs.
- Google Script Converter:
Script Converter is a Google Labs product that allows the user to read a
web page in a script of their choice. For example if the user can
understand spoken Tamil but cannot read the script, they will be able to
view Tamil web pages in English (Roman) script.
- Google NotebookGoogle
Notebook is a free online application offered by Google that allows
users to save and organize clips of information while conducting
research online. The browser-based tool permits a user to write notes,
clip text and images, and save links from pages during a browser
session.
- Google Web History:Google Web History helps you view and manage your web activity. A must-use tool especially for web miners.

is a system originally developed at Carnegie Mellon University that

16, 2009, Google acquired reCAPTCHA.

defines a common API for social applications across multiple websites.

is the charitable arm of Google. To fund the organization, Google
granted them 3 million shares during their initial public offering.

billion. Google has also pledged to contribute one percent of their

- RechargeIT:RechargeIT
is an effort within Google.org that aims to reduce CO2 emissions, cut
oil use, and stabilize the electrical grid by accelerating the adoption

upwards of several hundred million dollars in order to produce renewable

- Google Powermeter:Google PowerMeter is a software application being developed by Google.org to help consumers track their home electricity
usage.
- Google Flu
TrendsGoogle
launched Google Flu Trends after finding a close relationship between
how many people search for flu-related topics and how many people
actually have flu symptoms. Google Flu Trends may be able to detect
influenza outbreaks earlier than other systems because it estimates flu
activity in near real time.

This site features ideas and tutorials for how you can use Google tools

- Trendalyzer / Gapminder:
Trendalyzer is a software for animation of statistics that was
initially developed by Hans Rosling’s Gapminder Foundation in Sweden and
acquired by Google Inc. in March 2007. The current beta version is a
Flash application that is preloaded with statistical and historical data
about the development of the countries of the world.
